Dan Verge25/03/2024We did an advanced rope rescue techniques course on the cliffs around Swanage. Eddy's depth of knowledge when it comes to ropework is beyond question which meant the course content was significant and really well explained and demonstrated. Any questions we had were always answered with a confidence taken from years of practical experience. A thoroughly enjoyable 2 days on the rock!

Three of us spent a fantastic weekend with Eddy down at Portland, learning the basics of belaying all the way through to our first steps into lead climbing. Eddy is an excellent instructor, truly passionate about climbing and all round great guy.

Lee Bone11/08/2023I actually received this course as a gift and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. The course was incredibly well-organised and Eddy was great company to spend the day with. It was an excellent introduction to outdoor climbing and the necessary rope work. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, especially those looking to transition from indoor to outdoor climbing.

Philip Ingram08/08/2023Just had 2 great days climbing with Eddy. My daughter and I had previously done some top roping on indoor walls but wanted to become independent on rock. After carrying out a skills assessment, Eddy introduced us to some new equipment and showed us how to set up safe top rope anchor points. We then moved on to abseiling and belaying from the top of a cliff. On the second day we progressed onto lead climbing culminating in setting up and carrying out a lead climb independent of hands-on guidance. Eddy helped us achieve our objective and we now have the confidence and know-how to go climbing on our own. Throughout the 2 days Eddy provided a programme that introduced new skills and built them into the next activity. A very enjoyable 2 days, Eddy is a great teacher, and will I use Eddy for any further climbing instruction we need in the future.
