Young’s Adventure Solutions was born out of a life long passion for climbing. In 2008, and after 10 years of working in the outdoor industry, founder Eddy Young decided to take the leap and set up his own climbing and outdoor pursuits business.
Since then the business has grown to become one of the most successful climbing providers, employing only the best freelance climbing instructors in Dorset.
With a 100% safety record, Eddy’s extensive knowledge of climbing locations all over the world and his numerous qualifications and awards, Young’s Adventure Solutions continues to grow to offer the best quality climbing tuition in the area. Eddy Young is now regarded as the go to Dorset climbing instructor.
Our passion for climbing and the outdoors is reflected through our highly professional selection of courses and training available.
As well as aiming to inspire others to discover their love of climbing and the outdoors, we also encourage and educate those who attend our Dorset climbing courses on the importance of respecting Mother Nature.
We don’t just talk the talk… we use recycled paper wherever possible, and buy our equipment and clothing from the most ethical providers. The ocean and land are precious to us, which is why we are an active supporter of Surfers Against Sewage. We can regularly be found picking up rubbish from the coastline, and also support the Dorset Bolt Fund. Even our website uses a carbon neutral server.
From surfing, climbing, mountaineering, skydiving, running and biking he loves them all.
Eddy started climbing at the age of 10 years old! Since then Eddy has climbed in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Thailand, China, Vietnam and not forgetting the UK. His hardest rock route was in Thailand back in 2009 and hardest ice route was in The Rockies, Canada in 2008.
After a 2 year intense instructor training course with Bicton Outdoor College (1998) and getting the best practical student award at the college he went to work in the New Forest outdoor industry.
Most importantly in 2006 he passed The Mountain Instructor Award (climbing technical expert) and as a result he gained an extensive amount of climbing experience in the UK mountains and sea cliffs. At this stage he started to run Dorset climbing courses.
With 10 years of working in the outdoor industry for a different array of outdoor centres and corporate clients he has gained a huge collection of qualifications from the mountains to the sea and in the sky: Mountain Instructor, Beach Life Guard, SLSGB Coasteering Safety Award, BCU 4 Star Kayak Test and ‘A’ licence for skydiving to name but a few.
In his spare time Eddy can be found hanging off a cliff, using his parachute or drinking coffee planning his next climbing trip somewhere in the world.
