    Over the weekend we delivered an introduction to traditional climbing course in Swanage, Dorset, for Pedro and Loredana 🧗 Across the two days, they developed their skills, confidence and understanding of placing protection, building anchors and moving on traditional climbing terrain. By the end of the course, both Pedro and Loredana had completed their own independent trad leads, which is a fantastic achievement.     Over the weekend we delivered an introduction to traditional climbing course in Swanage, Dorset, for Pedro and Loredana 🧗

    Last week we were invited back to the Weymouth Sea Cadets climbing wall to support with their emergency action planning. We spent time reviewing and updating their current emergency action plan for the different types of climbing sessions they deliver, as well as building extra resilience into some of their processes. A really valuable session focused on preparation, confidence and safe delivery.     Last week we had the pleasure of working with Via Ferrata Cornwall, delivering climbing assessments, staff observations and feedback across the team 🧗 For the Via Ferrata, we carried out assessments covering assisted rescues for the zip wire, ladder rescues and zip wire safari rescues. On the final day, we delivered staff CPD and updates for the experience team, helping support ongoing development, confidence and high standards across delivery. It was fantastic to see the team in action, delivering high quality sessions with strong teamwork and professionalism throughout. A special shout out to Jaden for completing his instructor sign off 👏 A great achievement and well deserved. To round off the trip, we even managed to squeeze in a little climbing after work, making the most of being down in Cornwall.     Last week we had the pleasure of visiting a new climbing facility local to the area, supporting the team with the foundations needed to safely operate climbing activities on site 🧗 This included guidance around suitable and sufficient risk assessments, policies, emergency action plans and operational procedures to help prepare the facility for delivery. We’ll also be returning to deliver instructor training and emergency procedure training for the climbing department. We also recently had the opportunity to support Hampshire Outdoor Centres’ Learning Outdoors team with their operational standards for the delivery of Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions. Together, we reviewed emergency protocols, risk assessments, policies and procedures to help support safe and effective delivery for young people taking part in outdoor adventures.
